Projeto Raízes Brasileiras

Meetings are Saturdays afternoon fortnightly and pause during school holidays.

Groups will be formed with more than 10 students enrolled per group. If necessary, children will be in a mix age class, and we will use mixed-age teaching methods.

Due to constant changes in COVID-19 restrictions and inconsistency with hall hire, Raizes Brasileiras decided to take in-person meetings in the nature, following the QLD health protocols for outdoors activities. Through short hikes and activities in the park we will explore science, arts, culture, sports and much more with children and their family, in full connection with natural or urban environment.

• In-presence meetings: 10 moreton st. Paddington

• Online meetings by Zoom.

Dates:

• In-presence meetings are fortnightly on Saturdays. Playgroup and Seniorgroup are on Tuedays morning.

Cost per term:

Fees are per term. First enrolment includes an annual fee per child, unless enrolled in online lessons only. Look what each fee covers:

Annual fees (continuing students)

• allow the yearly use of Portuguese library,

• members-only access to the online platform or Google Drive,

• community parties (published in the school Google Calendar,

• family informative workshop.

• Cost per year/child: AU$100

In-presence fees

• 5 Portuguese workshops in Portuguese;

• Print material and art materials;

• Lessons are fortnightly on Saturdays, from 3-5pm.

• Cost per term/child: AU$140

 

Online fees

• access to 5 online meetings focuses on students linguistic and communicative needs

• Materials in a shared folder on Google Drive.

• Lessons can be weekly or fortnightly, during business day or weekends

• Cost per 5 lessons: AU$120
